Fun Facts about Keenan: When he joined the PRCA, he started setting records and hasn’t stopped. Keenan won more money on his permit last year than anyone in history at over $80,000. He started this year the same way collecting checks at rodeos he had never been to before and never took his foot off the gas. He set a new bareback riding regular-season earnings record and has a $100,000 lead over the man in second place. Keenan’s determination started the first time he got on the back of a four-legged animal. He rode bulls and saddle broncs in high school. He turned all his focus to bareback riding last year. The bareback riding is a natural fit as he is the third generation of his family to compete in that event. Keenan has the Resistol Rookie of the Year title in his sights as well, however, the number two and three men in that race have also qualified for the NFR so everything depends on Las Vegas.
