Fun Facts about Clayton: While this is Clayton’s eighth Wrangler National Finals rodeo, it will be a first for him. He and his wife Annie Rose welcomed a baby boy into the family, so it will be his first as a dad. And they are all hoping that it will be his second time to win a gold buckle. He was fifth in the standings before the final 30 days of the regular season. Then success in Washington and South Dakota gave him big boost. In July, he shared the win at Cheyenne Frontier Days, a rodeo that he previously won in 2019, the same year he won the world. Clayton’s father competed in bareback riding and his mother trains jumping horses. He loves doing anything he can horseback and even enters the team roping occasionally. Horsemanship and his competitive nature have seen him become a fixture at the Thomas and Mack Arena in December.
