Fun Facts about Tim: It’s a healthy Tim O’Connell that is entering his 10 th Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Although he calls Zwingle, Iowa, home, he lives in Marshall, Missouri, where he went to Missouri Valley College (MVC) and met his wife. Known as bareback riding U, Tim and other alumni of the program often help the current college rodeo team, That gives him time to spend with his coach Ken Mason. Tim is known for his intensity and with that comes an unparalleled work ethic that has him striving to be better from one day to the next in and out of the arena. That has served him well as a husband and father. He and Sami have been married for eight years and have two boys, Hazen who is five and Stratten who turned one last April. Tim comes from a rodeo family. His father hauled his two boys with him when he was working as a pick-up man. Will enjoys riding saddle horses and is a stock contractor. Tim loves bucking horses and the adrenaline rush that comes with riding one that is doing everything they can to send him to the dirt.
