Fun Facts about Marty: He is engaged to Loni Lester who is a talented all-around cowgirl who competes in breakaway roping and barrel racing. She has been on the road with Marty a lot and they have found success at the some of the same rodeos with Loni breakaway roping. Last year they both cashed in at Caldwell, Idaho. This year they each finished in second place at the Dodge City Roundup. It was worth nearly $14,000 for the couple. On January 7th they will officially tie the knot. Another highlight of this season was winning the all-around at the Pendleton Round-Up where Marty did the heeling for Aaron Tsinigine. Marty’s aunt J.J. Hampton has qualified for the Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping. They have sold t-shirts for their team with all of the proceeds going to Backpack Buddies of Erath County which helps feed children in need.
