Fun Facts about Luke: He’s back. After a string of 13 consecutive Wrangler National Finals Rodeo qualifications, Luke is back for number 14. It came after a two-year absence. He barely missed 2021 finishing the season in 17th place. Last year he teamed up with Hunter Koch and finished outside the top 30. He and Hunter have stayed the course and will be roping together in the Thomas and Mack Arena where Luke will be after his fourth NFR championship for having the fastest time on ten head. The last time he qualified for the NFR he started in first place. This year he squeaked in at 15th finishing the regular season $1,067 ahead of Brenten Hall. The only way for Luke to go is up and he will have his parents, wife Lacy and daughter Libby cheering him on. He grew up and competed in high school rodeos in South Carolina. Then moved to Texas and went to college at Howard College in Big Spring. They now live near Stephenville.
